The Department of Laboratory Medicine at the Narayana Nethralaya is a large modern laboratory, fully equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation. Laboratory Medicine provide expert advice on the emergence, detection, recovery, identification of ocular pathogens, determine and correlate the in vitro efficacy of ocular antimicrobial therapy with patient outcomes.

Laboratory Medicine contain six services: Microbiology, Molecular diagnostics, Immunology, Biochemistry, Hematology and clinical Pathology.
