Dr.M.Muthumeena  has completed her basic medical education from Thoothukudi Government Medical College, The Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR medical university and pursued her post graduation degree M.S ophthalmology from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Madras Medical College. She has done long term fellowship in paediatric Ophthalmology and strabismus from the prestigious Sankara Nethralaya, Medical Research Foundation. She was awarded Diplomate of National Board degree in 2016. She is also a Fellow of International Council of Ophthalmology. She is a member of All India ophthalmological society, Young Ophthalmologists Society of India and Tamil Nadu Ophthalmic Association. She has presented various papers, posters and videos in state and national conferences. She has worked as an Associate Consultant for 4.5 years at the Department of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Sankara Nethralaya, Medical Research Foundation, Chennai.
