Research Fellow/associate 
Duration: Initially for one year and can be extended by two more years.
Qualifications: M.Sc. in Biological Sciences/Life Sciences/Bio medical Science
Experience: Candidates with minimum two years of prior laboratory experience in mammalian cell culture and molecular cloning technique is mandatory. Previous experience with stem cell work, managing own research and administrative activities is a plus.
The role: The post holder will be primarily responsible to perform cellular reprogramming and iPSC generation, iPSC differentiation, clinical sample processing and their bio-banking and participate in all the laboratory activities. Undertake other laboratory duties as responsibilities of this post. The post offers the opportunity to become proficient in the culture of fibroblasts, blood cell isolation and culture, vector production, cellular reprogramming and iPSC generation.Other selection criteria: 

  • Interest in working toward a PhD degree in a specialist discipline

Research Technician.
Requirements: The candidate should have basic graduation degree. In addition, the candidate has to be proficient in using computers, basic MS office and the languages English and Kannada, preferably Hindi as well. The person should be willing to learn the techniques and responsibilities being taught., be punctual and of pleasant personality.

Job responsibilities: The technician will be responsible for primarily collecting research samples from the clinics and storing them appropriately after labelling as directed by the study directors. The person has to maintain strictly, all records of the samples and maintain soft and hard copies of the archives. In addition, the technician will also be trained to pre-process samples for certain studies. The position may require occasional travel to collect samples from other centers or bring urgent samples to GROW lab.

Background: The GROW research Laboratory, NNF is a not-for-profit research institute engaged in patient directed translational and basic research on biomarker discovery and mechanisms of human diseases. The research is funded by grants to the PIs from government funding agencies and industry partners.Job requirements: The candidate should have detailed knowledge of handling Mass Spec and liquid chromatography instruments, sample preparation and data analysis. The candidate should have a PhD in a related area of biological sciences. Those with academic or industrial relevant post-doctoral and/or technical experience will be given preference. However, after joining, training will also be provided on the already developed proteomics techniques currently being run as well as instrument training provided by the manufacturer. The scientist is expected to write research papers/reviews, etc and eventually write grants.

Job Description: The Scientist will be responsible for the operation of a AB-Sciex 5600+ Triple TOF instrument with front end nanoLC. He will also be responsible for the downstream analysis of data output. He is expected to help develop novel methods to perform whole proteomic/metabolomics analysis and targeted analyses from a variety of primary samples.
