Dr. Rajkumar Eye bank was inaugurated by the charismatic matinee idol Dr Rajkumar in 1994. A touching testimonial to his commitment to lead by example, is in the fact that he willed his eyes. He motivated a large number of people, and following his unfortunate demise in April 2006, his family continues their support. He will always remain with us in our hearts.
This Eye Bank was established with the purpose of disseminating the importance of eye donation and to facilitate the collection, processing and distribution of eyes to patients having corneal blindness. A state of the art eye bank with international standard tissue banking facility allows us to utilize eyes collected from donors. |

| Activities of Dr. Rajkumar Eye Bank |

| Dr. Rajkumar eye bank was inaugurated by veteran film actor Late Padmabhushana Dr. Rajkumar. This eye bank was established with the purpose of disseminating the importance of eye donation and to facilitate the collection, processing and distribution of eyes to the needy, i.e., to help people with corneal blindness. This movement gained momentum with the collection of corneas from Dr. Rajkumar himself in April 2006, after his sad demise and there was a manifold increase in the number of individuals who have pledged and donated eyes after this event. About 26,000 people have pledged their eyes so far. |

| For eye donation, please fill the pledge form and send it to the eye bank. We will register you as an Eye Donor and will provide you an individual Eye Donor Card. Spread information & awareness about eye donation. Your words add value to the movement of eye donation. |

Close eyes of the donor and place wet cotton swab on closed eyes . |

Switch off the fans and keep the air-conditioner or cooler on. |
|
|
|

|
|
Raise the head with the help of a pillow. |
