Dr. Padmamalini Mahendradas got her M.B.B.S degree from Stanley Medical College, Chennai, Postgraduate Diploma from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology and Government Ophthalmic Hospital, Chennai Medical College, Chennai (where she stood first in the Tamilnadu Dr. M. G. R. Medical University), and Diplomat of National Board from Prabha Eye Clinic and Research Centre, Bangalore.

Dr. Padmamalini Mahendradas won the Dr. Narsing A Rao Best Paper award at USI annual conference in 2006 in Madurai. Other awards include Best Poster Presentation Award (4th National Update on HIV/ AIDS Management, Mysore, 2005), Best Paper Award (Inflammatory Diseases Section, 66th AIOS Meet, Bangalore, 2008), Dr. M.M. Joshi Best Paper Award (Karnataka Ophthalmic Society Meet, Davengere, 2009) and AIOS Narsing A Rao Award (69th All India Ophthalmological Society Meet at Ahmedabad, 2011), Dr. R.H.P. Sinha Gold Medal Oration Award (the 3rd midterm conference, Yugal Drishti -2014, Ranchi ), Best poster award ( Singapore National Eye Center 25th Anniversary International Meeting, Singapore 2015), Best case presentation award in the interactive CME programme ( A day with Prof. Amod Gupta held on 16th July, 2016 at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai) and IOIS Picture contest 2017 winner award (14th Congress of the International Ocular Inflammation Society ( IOIS) at Lausanne, Switzerland, October 18th and 21st 2017),Award of appreciation for organizing an excellent USI conference at USICON 2019 and Best of IJO award at AIOC2020 at Gurugram.

I have been treated by Dr Padmamalini for Uveitis since March 2022. I was referred to her as my condition had deteriorated quite badly. My vision was nill in the left eye and minimal in the right eye. After Dr Padmamilini was able to contain inflammation subsequently and proposed the Cataract surgeries in both eye.I was operated by Dr Ravi Krishna in both eyes and after a long time I was able to see properly. I am surprised by the humility the entire staff shows towards the patient. I would anyway recommend both these doctors and the hospital for any eye related ailments.

Dr. M padmamalini very experienced and senior doctor. We are taking treatment for eye inflammation in 2018, got treated surgery done. Now again we are following up for another eye. We promptly say we are given highclass treatment from doctors as well as hospital. One important thing, Dr.shruti, is very much cooperative, friendly madam explains,guides about eye pressure,followup treatment, etc she guides us like sister, we are very much Thankful for that doctors and Hospitality, shown to patient and well staffs appointed here even i thank them 🙏 Dr. Ravikrishna, senior cataract surgeon is very much experienced i underwent cataract surgery yesterday 3-8-23 for my wife, which went very well her vision is improving. Our family members are very old to Narayana Nethralaya.
