Clinical Research/ Trials is a systematic study of a new drug in human subject’s to generate data for discovering and verifying the clinical, pharmacological and adverse effects with the objective of determining safety and efficacy of the new drug.

The Department of Clinical Research at Narayana Nethralaya was established in the year 2007 and serves as a Site Management Organization (SMO) offering comprehensive services through personalized patient care and treatment with strict adherence to ICH-GCP guideline and applicable regulations. The Department of Clinical Research has a team of experienced professionals who are highly process-driven in performing national & global clinical trials.

The Department works with the clients across India & abroad to identify and build the best-suited strategic alliances for conducting phase II, III & IV clinical trials involving Pharmaceutical, Biological, and Medical Device products.

We have taken a careful approach and have set up a dedicated team for supporting Clinical Studies. The goals are met while ensuring patient safety and well being by maintaining compliance with sponsor requirements, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and adhering to ethical standards. We have in-house Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) adhering to ICH-GCP & Schedule - Y guidelines. There are 6 extramural Members and 7 Internal Members in the Ethics committee.
